Expedition to Cho Oyu (8201m)

In 1995 was Tibor Hromadka member of International Expedition. CHO OYU is 6th the highest peak in the World. This expeditions chose their route in the West Wall, the same route which used Austrian expedition in 1954 and reached the summit. The base camp was in 5600 metres. During 19 days six members built camp1 (6400m) , camp2 (7100m) and camp 3 (7600m). All of them reached the summit in three groups. Tibor Hromadka reached the summit in October 8, 1995 in 10 a.m., after 7 hours solo ascent from camp 3. He went down to the base camp the same day.
